Lots of options for pool lighting you can do LED which is the most popular or Halogen lighting. Although Halogen bulbs are cheaper to buy they don’t last as long as LED which has a low energy usage and long lasting quality. LED are more expensive at the outset but are more economical in the long run. Two choices to mount the lights, one is Flush mounted and the other is Surface mounted.
If you do flush mounted then you can use Halogen or LED lighting, this is installed inside the wall of the pool. With Surface mounted it is installed on the side of the pool. The advantage of the surface mounted is the amount of light that it gives as it isn’t inside the wall. This lights up the pool more that the flush mounted lights.
